Chief Training, Sales Development & Human Resources Officer

Kay Manchester is the Chief Training, Sales Development & HR Officer for Farm Credit of the Virginias where she has worked for over 10 years.  Her undergraduate degree is from Berea College in Berea KY and MBA from James Madison University in Harrisonburg VA.  She has led Human Resources, Training, Sales Development & Sales Operations teams in three industries.  She has a passion for learning and is currently on the board of a private high school in Charlottesville VA and is enrolled in a four year learning program for lay ministry offered within her church’s diocese.  She also is enrolled in the FCCServices Incubator Program, a newly launched opportunity for Executive Development.  When she is not working, learning or volunteering, she likes to enjoy the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  She and her husband of 33 years have one son who is a math major at the University of Chicago.  While her family is one generation removed from farming, she considers it an honor to be able to support the Knowledge Center team whose passion is agriculture and shares her passion for knowledge!

Knowledge Center Director

Kyley Clevenger joined Farm Credit of the Virginias in May of 2013 to serve as the Knowledge Center Coordinator and recently took over the Director position in May of 2017. She grew up on her family farm in Stephenson, VA showing livestock on the local, state and national level and participated on multiple livestock judging teams. Kyley graduated from Virginia Tech in 2009 with a B.S. degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics. Currently, she is actively involved in various agricultural organizations across the state such as the Ag Advisory Council, a local County Fair Board, VA State Fair – Sale of Champions Committee Member, VA Angus Women Auxiliary Member and Officer and VA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Coalition Advisory Board member. Outside of her time with Farm Credit and her involvement in local and state organizations, she is very much involved in the beef industry and continues to raise cattle.

She is blessed to be a part of this exciting endeavor with the Knowledge Center and is looking forward to working with the agricultural community.

Knowledge Center Communications and Events Specialist

Rebecca Webert joined Farm Credit of the Virginias in May of 2014 as the Knowledge Center Communications Specialist.  Rebecca has been involved in agriculture her whole life, growing up on her family farm in Shenandoah County.  She was active in 4-H and FFA, was on several judging teams including the Virginia Tech Collegiate Judging Team and showed cattle on a local, regional and national level.  Rebecca graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006 with a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Science and Texas A&M in 2008 with a M.S. in Animal Breeding.  Since then she has been the Executive Director of the Virginia Angus Association and most recently the Education and Information Coordinator for Lord Fairfax Soil and Water Conservation District.  She and her husband also own a business providing marketing and graphic design services to livestock producers.  She is excited to be a part of the Knowledge Center and looks forward to helping the agricultural community.

Lauren ArbogastLauren Arbogast

Knowledge Center Relation Specialist

Lauren Arbogast married into a third generation beef, poultry, and crop farm in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in 2005, and quickly found a passion for sharing her newfound love for farm life as a former city girl. Lauren has a B.S. in Health Sciences from James Madison University, and a M.Ed. from Liberty University. Prior to joining the Farm Credit team in 2017, Lauren worked as a preschool special education teacher, incorporating agriculture into daily lessons and district-wide events. Lauren's work for agriculture in the school setting culminated with two awards in 2014: Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom Teacher of the Year, as well as the National Agriculture in the Classroom/USDA Teaching Agriculture Excellence Award. After leaving the classroom, Lauren worked as an Instructional Designer, creating educational experiences for her agriculture-minded clients.

Lauren completed the VALOR fellowship through Virginia Tech, and is also a “Face of Farming and Ranching” for the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance for 2017. She helps on the farm as she can, often advocating for agriculture through her blog or social media sites. Being a part of the Farm Credit Knowledge Center team is an exciting opportunity to engage her education background with the agriculture community to help all farms and farmers be successful.
